We sell full coverage swimwear for women size 6-20, including swim dresses, swim tops, swim skirts, swim leggings, shorts, board shorts, bikini tops, bikini bottoms, one-piece swimwear, sarongs, swim turbans, swim hijabs, and girls’ swimwear for ages 6–16.

What material is used to make the swimwear?

Our swimwear is made from 80% nylon and 20% spandex. It is soft, comfortable, quick-drying, and machine washable. It also has SPF50+ protection.

We offer free worldwide shipping on orders over $149 AUD. For orders under $149 AUD, shipping is $9.95 within Australia and $19.95 for international orders.

To help you choose the right size, Modest Mermaid provides a size chart on each product page. We recommend using our general size guide above, as our swimwear sizing is based on standard women’s clothing sizes. The size you usually wear in clothing is the best guide when selecting your swimwear.

What do I wear under my swim dress and set?

You can wear a one-piece or two-piece swimsuit underneath. We also sell crop tops and bottoms that are made to wear under our swimwear.

Does the swimwear have built in support?

Most styles do not have built-in bust support. This gives you the option to wear your own swim or sports bra. Some styles do include support.

If you’d like inbuilt support, we do have two swim dress styles with it included – the Aztec zip swim dress and the Palm breeze swim dress.

Do you have a girls range?

Yes. We have a girls' range, for ages 6–16.

What are the benefits of full coverage swimwear?

Our swimwear gives you more coverage, sun protection, comfort, and confidence. It is also designed to look stylish and flattering.

How do I look after my swimwear?

Rinse it in cold water after use and let it air dry. You can also machine wash it with similar colours.

I bought the 3/4 swim leggings in the XL after looking at the sizing guide. The quality of the material is good and they fit well, although I have never been a XL before. When I tried them on I found the back waist to be a little low but I think they will be ok when I am swimming. They would also benefit from a draw cord at the waist, as I have previously found that leggings stretch over time and a draw cord helps to keep the leggings from slipping. I would purchase again.

4 stars as will definitely have to wear bikini bottoms under these. No modesty panel at the front. Also could have done with a size down as they gradually 'slide' down. I haven't swam in them yet but expect weight of water will make this slippage more of an issue. If you are a size 20, recommend trying an 18.

I love these swim tights. I was tossing up if I should buy these or just an active wear pair of pants from kmart at a cheaper price. SO glad I took the risk as these are so comfortable and have a light feeling (not heavy at all like active wear would be when fully wet).
